Local Sports Clubs

Our pupils have many opportunities to experience a range of sports both during class and at after school clubs. Below is a wide selection of the local sports clubs that are available for your child to join in the local area.


Shettleston Harriers Athletics Club

Shettleston Harrierscan be found at the Glasgow Club Crownpoint Sports Complex, Crownpoint Road. They welcome everyone of all ages & abilities to get involved. They participate in events across Athletics in Scotland – Road, Track & Field, Hill Running and Cross Country. Glasgow City Basketball Club

Glasgow City Basketball Club provides opportunities for all young people, their parents/guardians and volunteers to become involved in basketball. The club encourages fun participation, sportsmanship and the social aspects of sport to anyone interested in getting involved. Clydesdale Rowing Club

Clydesdale club members range from juniors to students, professionals and the retired folk of Glasgow and beyond. We have a good number of men and women crews that row at novice and senior levels. HGC Freestyle Gymnastics

Freestyle gymnastics is a very new and highly popular form of gymnastics. It focuses on the freedom of movement around various obstacles in the gym. Running, jumping, climbing, landing, rolling, hanging, flipping, somersaulting are just some movement by which we train gymnasts to accomplish this.Classes will be running in Smithycroft Secondary School on Tuesday nights. The HubSports Community Group

The hubSports is a community sports facility, consisting  of a 4-court games hall and changing rooms. It is located  at 39 Wellhouse Crescent, Wellhouse,Glasgow, G33 4HG. There are many activities on offer as well as the opportunity to hire the facilities for your own activities. Glasgow East Rugby Club

Steven McLaren's Tae Kwon Do

Steven McLaren is a 4th dan ITF taekwondo instructor, UKTKO kickboxing coach, Tactical defence systems instructor and a personal trainer. He runs regular classes in the Helensburgh and Easterhouse areas where new students are always welcome. Budhill Football Academy

Budhill Football Academy have been training and playing football in the East End of Glasgow for the past three years. We try and keep our fees as low as possible due to being in one of the most deprived areas in the East End of Glasgow. Children need to be active every day to promote their healthy growth and development. Our aim is to be inclusive and accessible to all children.
